The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival will take place between the 17th and 19th of June. The festival's official charity is the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), and all profits made will be donated to the RNLI in Cornwall.

The RNLI has shared a request to try to encourage more volunteers to collect donations during the event, they said: "We are looking for volunteers to give us a minimum of two hours of their time helping to collect donations around Falmouth, and in return you'll get a traditional Cornish pasty and a drink, setting you up perfectly to enjoy the many shanty groups performing on the weekend.

"We will provide a collection bucket, RNLI tabard, and instructions. We also have some contactless card machines to help boost donations. You'll collect and return your bucket from a central location in the town and will work in pairs at different locations with lots of passing festival goers."

A site has now been created where volunteers can sign up and select shifts, if you want you can book multiple shifts across the weekend.
