High winds and heavy showers - yellow weather warning issued for Falmouth

Heavy rainfall has arrived in Falmouth & Penryn this afternoon with a yellow warning being issued and the bad weather expected to carry on into the week.
The Met Office has forecast periods of heavy rain today that may cause some travel disruption.
There is also expected to be very strong winds. The warnings have been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
The Kernow Weather Team said:
"There are some really intense downpours showing, with hail and thunder mixed in. So if you catch one please take extra care as driving conditions may become tricky."
What can you expect?
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible
- It's likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities affected by spray and/or large waves
