Heatwave forecasted to hit Falmouth

Southwest Weather Forecast UK has said that the South West will be hit with a heatwave from Wednesday (24th) to Friday (25th)

The South West is included in the yellow warning 'alert and readiness', which is triggered as soon as the risk is 60% or above the threshold temperatures being reached in one or more regions on at least two consecutive days or intervening night.

Fine and sunny conditions are expected throughout Wednesday and Thursday which could possibly end with thunderstorms on Friday.

The Met Office has forecasted for Falmouth:

Wednesday:

A fine and very hot summers day with copious amounts of sunshine on offer. Some fair weather clouds may pop up during the afternoon, though it will remain dry. Maximum temperature of 30 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Thursday remains very hot and mostly sunny, though the heat may spark some large thunderstorms on Friday. Feeling cooler on Saturday under more cloud and a keen breeze.
