A Falmouth cafe has today announced it will be opening its doors to the public early next month.
This comes following the government's announcement that some hospitality establishments can reopen under strict social distancing measures.
Gylly Beach Café will be welcoming the public back into its popular seaside eatery from 9am on Saturday 4th July.
The establishment has told customers to expect a "new cafe" as they have been making the most of lockdown to give the place a "much-needed spring clean".
Residents can expect re-varnished outside furniture and terrace and will see the results of a huge intensive deep clean.
"No wall has been missed by a paintbrush," the café added.
Customers should also expect three brand new menus - including breakfast, lunch and an evening BBQ.
Changes to the usual operation have been implemented to keep staff and visitors as safe as possible. The café has said a HUGE number of measures will be in place.
Some of those measures:
- Limited numbers inside and out
- Screens at the counter
- Table spacing
- Hand sanitiser stations
- Temperature checks on entry
A spokesperson for the café stressed the importance of following social distancing:
"We are following all the government's protocols to ensure your visit is both safe and an enjoyable one. However, we will also need your help to achieve this.
"Please follow the staff instructions and please, wherever you can, follow the social distancing measures we have in place.
"With your help, we can combat this terrible virus and
get back to our new normal as quickly as possible." During lockdown, the café opened its doors for takeaway offering fresh bread, cakes, hot & cold drinks, food & ice creams.
