BUNKER CABARET is a new performance by the Hooligan Art Community that started life in the bomb shelters of Kyiv, the show will be taking place tomorrow (18th of January) from 7:30 pm at the Poly.
The group combines music, poetry, dance, and film, to create a unique theatre event, described as a powerful exploration of love versus totalitarianism, and the personal conflicts of making art in a time of war.
The performance is said to reveal the artists' individual experiences of the war while communicating a shared humanity, creating beautiful moments of connection between artists and audiences.
Back in Ukraine, the group worked outside of the state theatre system and always pushed for freedom of expression and equality, after the war began the group had no way of working but has now managed to reunite in the UK to perform BUNKER CABARET.
Hooligan Art Community's 2023 tour of Bunker Cabaret will mark the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, they have managed to put the show together through donations and Crowdfunding support.
Ticket prices will be flexible to try and help those that may not be able to afford the theatre, you can pay either £20/£15/£10 or You choose the amount you feel able to contribute. Tickets for Ukraine Nationals will only be £5.
