A Flushing resident is appealing for information after his dinghy was stolen at some point last night.

The 'Waveline Airdeck 270 dinghy' was is believed to have been taken from Jericho Beach, just east of Flushing Sailing club.

David Eastburn, owner of the dinghy, said his wife Judith last saw the dinghy at 9.30pm.

When they came to see the dinghy at 6.30am this morning it was gone.

David has told Nub News that due to the location, it must have been taken from the water.

Speaking on social media, David said:

"The dinghy has two spring-loaded launching wheels attached to the transom and an aluminium seat.

"The words T/T MOONSHOT are painted on the inside of the transom.

"There were no oars in place as we keep these up at the house.

"The dinghy was on an outhaul with the painter tied both ends to the dinghy and fastened with the bight of the rope to the outhaul.

"Both ends have been untied from the dinghy and the painter is still in place on the outhaul."

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the dinghy, get in touch with us at [email protected]/[email protected].
