Falmouth residents have spoken out after a reportedly large 'birthday party' on Boscawen Field got out of control last night (11th July).

It is being said locally that the large party, which took place on the field and beach, involved 'cars being smashed up', 'people fighting' and 'bottles flying'.

Witnesses saw lots of young people in crowds, with one person stating "there were loads of kids everywhere."

A mother of a daughter who attended the party, who would prefer to stay anonymous, told Nub News:

"I received a call from my daughter at about 10.45pm to say there were loads of people fighting and that she been attacked by a boy.

"The noise in the background was sickening. I rang a taxi and my friend and I was there by 11pm.

"Driving down the hill, under the bridge towards the gardens there were about fifty kids walking away.

"There were two police officers dealing with about twenty kids by the back of the gardens.

"Whilst talking to the police there were bottles being smashed from inside the gardens and the beach and roars of people.

"The sound was sickening. I just knew there was fighting going on."

Anita Harrison, a personal trainer and Falmouth resident, found scattered smashed drink bottles, birthday cards, gift bags and toilet roll this morning.

Anita told Nub News:

"My biggest concern is all the broken glass, someone will end up cutting themselves."

Another resident has spoken out against the mess, stating:

"The amount of times we've been to the benches and had to clean up the glass is getting stupid."

Falmouth Nub News has contacted the police for a comment on the incident.
