Heavy rain overnight has impacted a Falmouth surgery after major flooding around the building.

The Met Office had issued a yellow alert for heavy rain as showers swept across Cornwall, expected to cause flooding to homes and businesses, and spray and flooding on roads.

Falmouth Health Centre Practice, based on Trevaylor Road, was one of those businesses affected.

The practice revealed this morning it had experienced a "major flood" during the night.

The flooding means they are having to move all their computers, phones, equipment, and staff around the building.

"Please be patient if the phones are slow to be answered," a spokesperson added.
