Falmouth: Weather warning issued as heavy rain set to sweep across Cornwall

A weather warning has been issued for Falmouth, Penryn, and Cornwall wide by the Met Office, as heavy rain is due to sweep across the southwest.

The warning takes effect at 5pm this evening (Monday, 4th October) and is expected to end in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The heavy rain is likely to produce some disruption this evening and overnight.

What to expect

  • A few homes and businesses flooded.
  • Bus and train services affected with journey times taking longer.
  • Spray and flooding on roads will make journey times longer.
