First glimpse: See inside the new Falmouth Cornish Cream store

By Joseph Macey 22nd May 2022

Cornish Cream opened in Falmouth this week - the fifth store for the food and drink specialists.

Cornish Cream, owned by Mike Pearce, cut the ribbon on the sparkling new high street store offering take-home and delivery cream teas, ice cream, Poldark Gin, Cornish Sea Salts, Cornish Bee Farm Honey, and different preserves, among many other items.

As reported recently, Cornish Cream takes over the former Hawkshead shop on Market Street. The team said they have been "blown away" by the positive feedback to the shop.

The business was set up in Newquay by Mike's parents in 1968 and has gone on to become one of the longest-standing retailers on the high street.

Mike took over 12 years ago and has seen Cornish Cream continue to flourish adding shops in St Ives, Charlestown, Mevagissey, and now Falmouth.

Mike previously told Nub News:

"I see a gap in the market in Falmouth for Cornish Cream. To have a business where you can buy luxury truffles, cream teas by post, or get some luxury Cornish ice cream. I don't think there is anywhere like that in Falmouth.

"We feel the local customer base that lives here will really welcome it as a positive addition to the town."
