Falmouth: Fire breaks out at restaurant on Discovery Quay

Emergency services descended on Discovery Quay after smoke started billowing out of Tidemill House, Falmouth.

The fire service said they received up to 30 calls of an incident at Discovery Quay this afternoon (7th) around 2pm.

Three appliances were immediately mobilised from Falmouth & Truro. Support was also requested from Tolvaddon and St Just.

The ambulance attended to treat a number of casualties suffering from smoke inhalation.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service posted at 2:43pm:

"Critical Control have taken a large volume of calls to a fire in a commercial premises in Event Square in Falmouth. Four Crews from Falmouth, Tolvaddon and Truro are in attendance."

In an update, The Ranch Steakhouse posted on social media:

"We're unfortunately unable to open this evening due to a fire down at the restaurant. We hope all our bookings see this post. We're sorry for the inconvenience and will keep you all post via socials."
