The team behind Truro's Farmers Market has been working hard to create a new Discovery Market in Falmouth that will start on Friday the 19th of May from 10:00 am until 17:00 pm.

As the name suggests, the market will be based on Discovery Quay and is committed to being eco-friendly and sustainable. All products sold at Discovery Market must be free of single-use plastic packaging.

As well as aiming to be a sustainable market there will also be an emphasis on supporting independent and local traders. There is a hope the market can offer locally sourced products and create some real connections in the community.

Organisers behind the event are now looking for vendors to join their market, they said: "We invite all local food, drink, and craft stalls to apply for a spot in this market. We encourage interested stall holders to complete the application form to be considered for a place in the Discovery Market. We can't wait to welcome you to our new plastic-free market in Falmouth."

Pitch fees:

  • 3x3m pitch: £30
  • 4.5 x 3m pitch : £40
  • Both pitches include a gazebo, tables and light use electrics (up to 500w)

After the first Discovery Market Friday, May 19th, 2023 organisers plan to operate most Fridays going forward, with occasional closures due to other events taking place at the Quay.
