The restaurant has closed for two weeks after a majority of the team went into self-isolation.
Star & Garter on the High Street will reopen on Sunday 1st November.
A spokesperson for Star & Garter said:
"One of our staff has tested positive for Covid-19 after experiencing mild symptoms and, as a result, the majority of our small team is now self-isolating.
"In the interests of public health, we have taken the decision to close and fully disinfect the restaurant and we will not be reopening until all affected staff members have completed their quarantine.
"Those customers who visited us and did not sign in using the NHS Test and Trace app will be contacted. We hope and trust all are well. We will also contact future reservations that are affected.
"This is a tough time for us all but our staff and customers' safety is paramount."
