Falmouth's authentic Italian ice cream shop Ciuri Ciuri has raised over £250 for The Mermaid Centre - a clinic which cares for patients with breast cancer.

Ciuri Ciuri did this by offering gelato in return for a donation to the clinic - putting the gelato to good use so it didn't go to waste as the shop closed for lockdown.

In March the shop raised money for the NHS, delivering to more than 40 families with donations totalling £405.85.

This time around the shop raised £257.87.

Owners Mariangela and Fabrizio said:

"Thanks to all of you we have collected £257.87, we will arrange the donation to the Mermaid Centre. Your heart is so generous, thank you very much to all of you."
