It has today been announced that the toilets on Falmouth's beaches are reopening for beachgoers.

The toilets will be open approximately from 10.30am – 8pm.

Castle, Gyllyngvase, Swanpool and Maenporth now have useable public toilets.

The council previously reopened facilities on Prince of Wales Pier, Kimberley Park and Grove Place.

A spokesperson from Falmouth Council told Nub News:

"The Town Council has provided an enhanced cleansing regime and users are reminded of the social distancing and hand cleaning requirements."

Mark Williams, Falmouth Town-Clerk, previously told Nub News:

"We would remind everyone of the requirements for people to visit and use our beaches and parks responsibly."
