Falmouth Week set to get underway - everything you need to know
Excitement is building for the start of Falmouth Week - promising an array of family-friendly activities for locals and visitors to enjoy.
Falmouth Week kicks off on Friday 5th August and continues until Sunday 14th August, some of the events to look out for include The Red Arrows, a marching carnival, and a firework display.
Here are some of the key dates...
5th-14th August
Victorian Carousel on The Moor
Toad Hall cottages on The Moor
7th-9th August
Music on The Moor.
8th-12th August
The army on The Moor with a free climbing wall.
Friday 5th August
Pink Wig Night from 5pm (starting at The Greenbank Hotel).
Saturday 6th August
Falmouth Marching Carnival from 6:30pm (leaving from Falmouth Rugby Club).
Sundowner stand-up paddleboard from 4:30pm (Gyllyngvase Beach).
Carnival night Falmouth Soul Sensation from 7pm (The Waterfront).
Sunday 7th August
The Wurzels from 7:30pm (The Waterfront/Church Street Car Park).
Monday 8th August
Reef from 7pm (The Waterfront/Church Street Car Park).
Tuesday 9th August
Love Train gospel concert from 7:30pm (The Waterfront/Church Street Car Park).
Wednesday 10th August
The Red Arrows from 6pm (Falmouth Bay).
RNLI Fun Day.
Action Sports Tour from 12pm (Events Square).

Comic & Movie Fest from 10am.
80s-00s Extravaganza from 7:30pm (The Waterfront/Church Street Car Park).
Sunday 14th August
Nathan Caton Comedy Night - doors open at 7pm (Princess Pavilion).
Road Closure information
Friday 5th August Pink Wig Parade – Closed from 5:30pm – 8:00pm
The parade will go from the Greenbank Hotel to the Church Street car park and into the South West Bars & Events marquee via the Moor roundabout.
Pink Wig will leave the hotel at 6:45pm (TBC).
All roads within this area will be closed.
Saturday 6th August Falmouth Carnival – Closed from 6pm – 8:30pm
Leaving from the Rugby Club and going to Grove Place via the Moor (the parade will turn in the road near the monument at Grove Place and then back to Church Street car park and then free entry for the Carnival night in the tent.
The Carnival leaves the rugby club at 6:30pm.
All roads within this area will be closed.
Wednesday 10th August Town Centre
The town centre from Market Street through to halfway along Arwenack Street as per usual will be closed from 11am-11pm.
The Action Sports Tour mountain bike display team
This will take place on Events Square with four shows throughout the afternoon and free to attend.
Wednesday 10th August Red Arrows Display – Closed from 3pm – 7:30pm
As well as Cliff Road this will include all roads that link with Cliff Road along the seafront. The closure start time will depend on numbers on the seafront for the display at 6pm.
