A team from Falmouth Fire Station were called out over the weekend after a bonfire had spread in Mabe.

Just after 9:30pm on Friday (29th), a team from Falmouth was mobilised to reports of a fire on a fence and hedgerow in the Antron Hill area.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the incident, saying it was accidental.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue added: "One appliance from Falmouth attended a call to a bonfire which had spread to a fence and hedgerow. Firefighters used two hose reels and small tools to extinguish and turn over the fire. This fire was accidental."
