UPDATE: Accident cleared on Union Road at Trescobeas Road.

An accident is causing minor delays near Falmouth School this evening.

The incident is involving a car and a motorcycle and reports suggest the route is partially blocked.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall police said:

"Union Road partially blocked due to accident, a car and motorcycle involved at Trescobeas Road. Traffic is coping well. On the roundabout."

The Kernow Weather Team urged motorists to take extra care due to the heavy rain tonight, saying:

"There are heavy downpours in some areas causing standing water and surface spray. Please take extra care when driving and reduce your speed where necessary. Maintain a safe following distance and drive to the road conditions."
