Falmouth Town Council has announced that it is reinstating its popular monthly resident surgeries following their cancellation during covid.
The first surgery will take place on Friday, 24th June 2022, from 10:30am - 1pm in the Council Chamber at the Municipal Buildings on The Moor. After that, the surgeries will be held on the last Friday of every month.
Surgeries are an opportunity for residents to meet their local Councillors face-to-face to discuss any questions or issues they may have. As well as being attended by two town councillors, there are also usually representatives from the police, the Universities and Cormac in attendance.
Mayor, Councillor Steve Eva, said: "Our resident surgeries have always been very popular and well attended, assisting our residents in resolving local issues. Post-Covid, we are keen to get back to meeting residents face-to-face and making those all-important connections again. It is also useful for the Council to receive feedback from residents on service provision and requests for assistance."
Anyone wishing to attend can make an appointment beforehand by contacting Falmouth Town Council ([email protected] / 01326 315559), or people can drop in on the day.
The first surgery will be attended by Deputy Mayor, Councillor Kirstie Edwards and Councillor Debra Clegg. Richard Gates, Town Manager, will also be in attendance as well as a representative from Devon and Cornwall Police and Falmouth and Exeter Universities.
