Falmouth to get new water bottle refill station

Falmouth's bid to restore an old drinking fountain and create a water bottle refill station has been approved.

As reported in November, the plans involve the resiting of an unused water fountain at The Stable - moving it to the front of the property.

Submitted by Falmouth Town Council, they said the restoration of the defunct drinking fountain for reuse as a water bottle refill station contributes to Falmouth's sense of heritage and is attractive to the local community and tourists alike.

The restoration of such a community asset makes a positive contribution to the town's appearance and is also demonstrable of Falmouth Town Councils' commitment to reducing plastic waste.

Conditional approval was granted on Friday (1st April).
