A Falmouth seaside restaurant has announced it will be reopening later this month as a takeaway.

Hooked on the Rocks, overlooking Swanpool Beach, will be reopening as a takeaway service from 22nd May.

The restaurant will be operating Wednesday through to Sundays, serving the public fresh food from a new menu that is due to be announced later today.

George Morgan, head chef at Hooked on the Rocks, said:

"We're really happy to be back open and operating, obviously not as a normal restaurant and just as a takeaway - but it's good for us and hopefully it's good for you as well."

The restaurant says they will be "getting back into the swing of things slowly".

To keep customers and employees as safe as possible, the establishment will be following government guidelines with special measures put in place, such as:

• Entering through the front door and out the back

• One customer in at a time
  • All food to be pre-ordered between 3pm and 5pm to collect on the same day

and more that will be announced later on.

Opening times:

Wednesday to Friday: 4pm - 8pm

Saturday to Sunday: 12pm - 8pm

The longer opening times on Saturday and Sunday will see some extras added to the menu, which will include lunchtime treats of crab sandwiches, sausage rolls, pasties and more.

The restaurant previously closed on the 21st March in line with government guidelines.

Since then they've been staying active on social media and looking ahead towards their next step.

"Stay safe and take care of your families and friends and see you when it's all over," they wrote previously.

Keep a lookout for more information on the Hooked on the Rocks Facebook page.
