Last week, Thursday (8th), Falmouth RNLI was tasked to join a search for a missing person at Nare Head.
The Portscatho and Mevagissey Coastguard Cliff Rescue Teams were also tasked to assist.
The Falmouth Lifeboat left its base at 21:38, not arriving back until the early hours, just before 4am.
An initial search was carried out of the shoreline and cliffs from Kiberick Cove around Nare Head, Roseland Peninsula.
The lifeboat then provided support as required to the coastguard search teams using both the lifeboats search lights and its night vision equipment.
By 3:18am it was confirmed that the casualty had been safely recovered from the cliff edge and the lifeboat was released to return to its station - arriving back at 4:10am.
In a concluding statement, Falmouth RNLI added:
"This multi-agency search and rescue incident with the units on the ground and at sea was closely supported by their relevant control rooms resulting in a positive outcome."
