On Friday (21st) the team from Falmouth RNLI was tasked to a casualty evacuation on a vessel in the bay.

At around 6pm, the lifeboat was launched after a ship crew member sustained a shoulder injury.

Having reached the vessel in Falmouth Bay, the all-weather lifeboat went alongside to allow the casualty to be transferred across using the pilot ladder.

"Once onboard the lifeboat, the casualty was assessed by casualty care trained crew and taken back to Falmouth and passed into the care of an ambulance," Falmouth RNLI reported.
