Falmouth police seize vehicle after pair from Kent travel down for "mini break"

A car has been seized in Falmouth after two people were discovered staying in the vehicle on a "mini-break."

The details of the incident were revealed by "The Hungry Copper" on Twitter, it reads:

"Found two people sleeping in a car in Falmouth, checked their details and both live in Kent and had driven down for a mini-break. But the driver had no insurance and no driving licence."

The car was seized and two fixed penalty notices were issued for breaching the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

On Wednesday (22nd) Falmouth police stopped over 100 vehicles in random traffic checks as well as Assistant Chief Constable Glen Mayhew reminding people:

"By now, everyone should know what their responsibility is in the battle against coronavirus; keep staying at home, try to stay local when exercising and only undertake essential travel."
