A licence for a new wine bar and eatery on Church Street is set to go before the Town Council next week.

Plans have been revealed for "The Orgia" on Church Street - a small wine bar and eatery, serving high quality cured meats, cheeses and small plates as well as wines, and other alcoholic drinks.

The building is in the town centre near a number of other restaurants and bars. It is a two storey ground floor premises, (with a lower basement floor) and a small rear courtyard, with a maximum capacity inside of 60 people

The owners behind "The Orgia" have applied for a licence to serve alcohol between 8am-10:30pm Monday to Sunday. They are also looking to extend those times on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve to 1am. Service would cease in the outdoor area at 9:30pm.

Town Council Licensing Committee will make their decision on Monday 13th December.
