Falmouth has been treated to a new gourmet waffle delivery service which allows you to build your perfect waffle and have it arrive at your door.

Load-a-Waffle, a mobile catering unit which only started trading this year, has expanded its business to offer a contact-free delivery service due to most of their planned trading events being cancelled due to the virus.

The service lets you choose from a wide variety of toppings to create your own perfect waffle.

Chloe from Load-a-Waffle told Nub News:

"We love that we can provide people with a treat that they enjoy our menus and coming up with different topping concepts.

"We're just very happy to be able to provide people with something to cheer them up during what is challenging."

The response has been grand for the business, with the community responding to the service well.

"We have been super happy with the response, we didn't expect to have so many people wanting to order and enjoying our sweet treats from all across Cornwall," Chloe said.

"We are very grateful and happy that people can have a treat whilst also creating their own delicious waffles."

Load-a-Waffle says they want to start trading from their catering unit regularly in Falmouth once the virus has passed.

Chloe told us: "Once this is all over we are hoping to be trading at Falmouth Market and on The Moor in Falmouth, whilst still attending events across Cornwall once safe to do so. "

The service consists of:

• £20 a box plus delivery for 4 waffles and 4 menu choices.

• £1 extra per vegan/GF waffle

• Each box comes with a can of whipped cream and a choice of chocolate/strawberry/toffee sauce.
