Boris Johnson is the first to arrive in Cornwall ahead of the G7 with US President Joe Biden expected tomorrow (10th).

The Prime Minister was seen exiting a plane around 4pm today at Newquay Airport.

Cornwall is preparing to welcome world leaders over a three-day international event, from the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the US, as well as invited leaders from Australia, India, and South Korea attending.

The event will host leaders at Carbis Bay from June 11th to 13th, with neighbouring St Ives, and Falmouth hosting international delegates and media.

Boris has arrived early and he intends for talks on Thursday with US President Joe Biden.

Speaking on his arrival on social media, Mr Johnson said:

"I've arrived in Cornwall for this year's G7 where I'll be asking my fellow leaders to rise to the challenge of beating the pandemic and building back better, fairer and greener.

"It will be a busy and important Summit, and I can't wait to get started."
