An applicant is seeking to scale down plans for flats on Kimberley Park Road, Falmouth.

Charles Perks submitted a pre-application enquiry, the scheme would be reduced from four flats to three and put a gable end on the roof rather than a hip to gable.

The current applicant says Tregantle has been vacant for several years after a previous developer "ran out of money."

The application continues: "Property has been vacant for several years and is classed as an empty home. It is in need of serious refurbishment and redevelopment. It is also changing from a single dwelling to multiple (3) flats."

This week (3rd) Cornwall Council's planning officer responded to the plans.

"The proposed development is acceptable in principle, however, the Local Planning Authority are unable to support a gable roof form on this property," the officer added.
