A 24-hour road closure has been put in place in Falmouth following a collapsed sewer.
Efforts to repair the sewer along Windsor Terrace started yesterday (20th) and the closure will be in place until Tuesday (26th April) – weekdays only.
If the work cannot be completed during that period, the council says it may issue a further notice.
"It is necessary for the restriction to come into force without delay because of works being executed on or near the road to carry out repairs," the notice reads.
While the notice is in operation traffic including bicycle movement along the highway will be temporarily restricted. No personnel, except upon the direction of a police constable in uniform cause or permit any vehicle or pedal cycle to enter, proceed, or wait on the highway.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained.
A diversion is in place along Lister Hill and Windsor Court.
