Falmouth's comic and movie fest has been cancelled this year.
Falmouth's comic and movie fest has been cancelled this year.

The organisers behind the Comic and Movie Festival, Falmouth, have made the "difficult decision" to cancel the events for this year.

The festival, was due to hosted on August 14th in a giant marquee in the town, but has now been cancelled following changes around Falmouth Week.

With no marquee for Falmouth Week, festival organisers felt they would be left exposed without any cover for the day.

In a statement, they said:

"We understand why Falmouth Week and South West Bars and Events have made this decision and that it is in the interest in everyone's safety and we do support this.

"We understand and share everyone's disappointment. Thank you to everyone for their continued support for our charity (True Butterflies Foundation)."
