Desmond & Co Estate Agents has joined up with Falmouth Cricket Club in a three-year deal to become the new shirt sponsor, with the partnership being officially announced at the weekend.

On Saturday, partner at Desmond & Co Estate Agents Adam Pryor joined club Chairman Mark Averiss and players to unveil the new shirts.

Desmonds, based in Falmouth, offers the complete package using the latest technology alongside proven techniques to get the best possible price for your property.

Adam has taken up one of the premium sponsorship packages, two advertising boards, and will have the opportunity to freely use the facilities.

Falmouth Cricket Club Chairman Mark Averiss told Nub News:

"As a club, we were looking for a community sponsor, Adam has just gone into a new business in the town and knowing he has supported local clubs in the town for a long time we approached him, and he happily accepted the offer to be our shirt sponsor."

Adam has been working as an estate agent in the town for around 16 years holding extensive knowledge of Falmouth, Penryn, and the surrounding areas.

After just over 12 months of trading with Desmond & Co in Falmouth Adam "jumped at the chance" to become the new shirt sponsor and offer further support for the cricket club.

Adam said:

"Sport has always been a big thing for me growing up in Falmouth, I have never been the best cricketer in the world, but I have spent many afternoons, evenings down here. My kids play in the All Stars and Dynamos, I am really keen to help out.

"Community support is a massive thing considering the tough last 12 months everyone has had I think there is a new appreciation for sport, socialising, all linked to mental health and wellbeing."

Mark added:

"People have been locked up for a long time and we need to get them out playing cricket again, unless we get the sponsors in to help out financially we can't keep all our teams running, so this is really important."
