Falmouth coastguard launched following cliff path fall

This afternoon Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team responded to reports of a woman falling from the cliff path near Durgan Village.

Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team and Bristol Ambulance EMS were also on the scene.

A spokesperson for the coastguard said:

"It was discovered that a lady had slipped and fallen on the path sustaining some injuries.

"Pain relief was administered by Paramedics and she was packaged into our stretcher and conveyed around 500 meters to the waiting Ambulance.

"The casualty was then taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust - Treliske for further treatment."
