The crew from Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked late last night to assist paramedics with a casualty at Mylor Yacht Harbour.

Assitance was required to remove the casualty from a vessel following a suspected broken hip.

A spokesperson for Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team said:

"On scene, a gentleman was found to have a suspected broken hip and was being treated by paramedics.

"Working as a team, the casualty was administered pain relief (by Paramedics) and he was very carefully moved on a vacuum mattress off the vessel onto an Ambulance trolley on the pontoon.

"Team members then helped with transporting the gentleman very slowly to the waiting Ambulance. Once complete, we stood down and left the scene at around 22:15."
