A micropub has announced a closure - around a year after moving into the town.

The Bearded Brewery opened its cider shop on Discovery Quay in December 2020 - but will now be moving on.

The award-winning business is owned by Rob Faye and Mark Long - they also run a well-established branch in St Mawgan, Newquay.

Addressing their customers on Thursday (27th), the pair said circumstances beyond their control forced the closure.

They commented:

"We would like to thank everyone who came and visited and supported our Falmouth branch of the Bearded Brewery.

"Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have come to the decision that our Falmouth chapter is now closed.

"Hopefully we will be back in Falmouth sometime soon, be it markets or in other establishments but for now it is goodbye."
