A Falmouth cafe has thanked the community for their support as it continues to grow and develop since it reopened back in April.

Formerly known as The Pasty Shack, the pasty shop reinvented itself in the height of lockdown as a takeaway and delivery cafe named Oh My Goodness.

Away from just pasties, the cafe now hosts roast dinners, breakfasts, ice cream, desserts, salads and much more.

With the easing of lockdown restrictions, the cafe is now fully open for dine-in, takeaway and delivery with social distancing measures in place.

Oh My Goodness is situated on Church Street in the heart of Falmouth.

Sally Gothe, co-owner of Oh My Goodness, told Nub News: "We have progressed so much over the last seven months and for the better.

"We have had an incredible response from our customers and fan base on social media so thank you all."

The cafe has over 2,500 likes on its Facebook page and is constantly receiving positive feedback from residents.

A crowd favourite, which the team recently appeared on BBC Cornwall Radio to promote, is the 'Gap Filler Challenge'.

For £20, or a pound less if eating in, residents can take on a momentous breakfast challenge - a large 12-inch pizza box filled with all the usual fry up trimmings plus onion rings, garlic mushrooms, fries, beans and three slices of fried bread.

Sally continued: "Positively speaking people are working together more than ever and it's really nice to see. We have had so much appreciation and gratitude from our customers and the locals, it really helps to keep us going."

The cafe has been through a major refurbishment from their previous look, completely changing the branding, exterior and interior.

Oh My Goodness wrote on social media upon its completion, saying: "So happy with the refurb! Six months in amid the madness, hard grafting, blood sweat and tears and we can absolutely say that the hard grafting has been so worth it."

Like many other businesses, the cafe has had a major challenge in implementing social distancing measures.

Sally said: "Every day there is something you need to change or improve to stay safe.

"It is vital we stay on top of cleanliness and routine and just when you start getting used to the routine, it all changes along with the lockdown, as the guidelines and rules change quickly too.

"It's very repetitive and a lot to take on. Our appearance is everything and one small wrong move can have a massive impact on our business. It's been tough, but we will get through it."
