Falmouth has been full of life today after traders reopened to the public (12th April).
Most of the towns barbershops, cafes, pubs and gyms were all back in business following the easing of restrictions.
It was a special day for The Front, which reopened under new ownership and Morgans, a new art and design gallery opposite Harbour Lights, Olderope a new eco boutique next door to Wetherspoons and Castle Sports opened its new shop on Killigrew Street.
Speaking to Nub News, Good Vibes owners Daniel Rossiter and Jade Phipps told Nub News:
"The last few months have been tough and the town has had no life in it, it just shows how important the high street is in that sense because without each other there is no commercial ecosystem.
"There needs to be a good range of things people can do, we need what's best for the town but we also need a good range of businesses.
"Each week gets better and we are coming out the other side of it and coming back stronger."
Matt Reay, the owner of The Moth & The Moon, told Nub News:
"It is nice to see people out and about and get to chat to people, as the week goes on and more places open down the street (Killigrew) it will be really great." The Moth & The Moon is planning to open its beer garden on June 1st.
Sam Steele, the manager at Cavendish Coffee House, said:
"It is just so good to be open again and to be a presence on the high street again is really special, seeing smiles on faces is the best thing."
