Falmouth Beer Festival has been cancelled with the "general uncertainty" that is still around, it was announced yesterday.

The committee said they aren't in a position to run the event this year, and still haven't managed to fill the position of Festival Organiser.

"With the general uncertainty that still exists coupled with the time restrictions are lifted fully (June 21st is the earliest date this is expected), there would be insufficient time remaining to organise it," a spokesperson said.

The Beer Festival is usually held in October with 245 ales, 80 ciders and 20 crafts on offer. The festival hasn't been held since 2019.

However, there is an alternative as the committee is looking at organising a pub's based festival with early planning in the works. More news is to follow on that.
