A Falmouth bar has announced that it will be returning to its usual opening hours.

The Games Room, situated on Market Street, opened its doors to the public again in July after closing in March due to government regulations.

In a tumultuous journey to make their highly interactive establishment as safe as possible, which involves pool tables and other games, they now feel they have found a "new normal".

The bar is proud to say they haven't had to let anyone go during the pandemic and have recruited extra staff to meet the new demands of the business.

Kathy St Quintin, manager of Games Room, told Nub News:

"It is great to get everyone back to work with no layoffs.

"We have invested in more staff as it's an investment in safety. Everything needs to be sanitised.

"It has been strange getting used to a new way of working but the public and staff have been so cooperative."

Courtyard Deli & Kitchen has allowed Games Room to use their outside space as a smoking area.

"This has really helped us in our social distancing plan," Kathy continued.

"St Austell Brewery has been brilliant too. They have been so supportive throughout all of this."
