The police put out a Facebook post in the early hours of this morning.

Yesterday evening, an 18-year-old female and 21-year-old male were arrested in relation to a burglary and theft of a white motor vehicle that occurred overnight in St Austell.

The police also responded to a series of vehicle fires and fire damage to residential properties in Helston, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Falmouth and Helston police were dealing with the car fires in Helston for most of yesterday.

Police are appealing for witnesses in the Helston and Pentewan, St Austell areas. Anyone with information is requested to ring 101 quoting crime reference numbers CR/56420/19 & CR/56448/19.
