Emergency services search Mawnan Smith for missing person

Helicopter, police and coastguard were called out to Falmouth in the early hours of this morning to search for a missing person.

A police spokesperson told Nub News:

"Police were called at 11.30pm last night to Mawnan Smith following reports of concern for the welfare of a man in his 60s.

"Emergency services attended and carried out searches of the area.

"The man was located safe and well in the early hours of this morning."

The Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team posted on their Facebook page:

"We responded along with Falmouth Lifeboat West Cornwall Search & Rescue Team Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team and multiple Police units including a dog and Police Helicopter from National Police Air Service HQ. Full time Senior Coastal Operations Officer SIIE was also tasked.

"Teams searched their respective areas and the person was located, safe and well by Police at around 4am."
