Drink driver arrested following crash in Falmouth

A man was arrested by police in Falmouth last night on suspicion of drink driving.

The police were called out to Trescobeas Road around 11:20pm after reports of a car in the middle of the road.

A 42-year-old man was found to be double over the legal limit after the crash.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police - No Excuse said on social media:

"Assisted Falmouth Police with the drink-drive procedure after a driver crashed in Falmouth tonight.

"Over double the limit, more than 2 hours after the collision, thanks to

Falmouth Community Fire Rescue Service for their assistance."

There were no reports of the man being injured in the crash and he was put into police custody.
