Donations needed by your local foodbank

Penryn and Falmouth Foodbank have given an update on what items are needed most to support those in the community.

The food bank, which is at the Highway Community Centre on Church Road in Penryn, is part of a nationwide network supported by The Trussell Trust.

On their social media update, the team provided a list of items they need:

  • Jam
  • Tinned Meat Meals
  • Long Life Semi Skimmed Milk
  • Juice and Squash
  • Tinned Tomatoes
  • Tinned Beans
  • Meat and Vegetable Soups
  • Sweetcorn
  • Tinned Potatoes
  • Tinned Vegetarian Meals
  • Tinned Fruit
  • Deodorants (mens and womens)
  • Shampoo
  • Sanitary Products - Towels/Pads
  • Toilet Rolls
  • Washing Up Liquid
  • Washing Powder
  • Shower Gel
  • Nappies - Size 5 & 6
  • Sugar
  • Shaving Foam/Gel

If you have any of these items or would like to donate you can drop them off directly to the Foodbank on Mondays between 10 am and 1 pm and on Thursdays from 2 pm until 4 pm.

You can also take items to local drop-off points:

  • Asda (Only purchases bought instore)
  • Tesco Metro (Only purchases bought instore)
  • Natural Store
  • Co-op Boslowick
  • Poundland
