A ban on dogs on Cornwall beaches has been reintroduced this week, July 1st, including on beaches in Falmouth.

The ban now applies to all beaches in Cornwall - restriction times are uniform across all beaches as agreed by Cornwall Council.

The beaches in the local area with bans from July 1st are as follows:

Cadgwith Cove, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Castle Beach, Falmouth, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Church Cove, Gunwalloe, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Housel Bay, The Lizard, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Kennack Sands Beach, The Lizard, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Kynance Cove, The Lizard, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Maenporth Beach, Falmouth, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Poldhu Beach, Mullion, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Polurrian Cove Beach, Mullion, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Porthleven West, Porthleven, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Summer's Beach, St Mawes, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Swanpool Beach, Falmouth, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Tunnel Beach, Falmouth, 10am-6pm, 1 July - 31 August.

Back in March this year, it was also announced extra measures will be taken to tackle the ongoing problem of dog fouling in Falmouth.

Cornwall Council and Falmouth Town Council will be putting in place extra enforcement patrols and signage to warn people of the fines that can be imposed for dog fouling.
