Falmouth fire crew moved in the early hours to Parc Peneglos, Mylor Bridge following reports of an electrical fire.

Two appliances from Falmouth were mobilised to the scene at around 3:45am this morning, an electrical engineer was also requested.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said:

"Firefighters used carbon dioxide fire extinguishers on the fire, a third appliance was requested to attend at 04:17 for further CO2 cylinders and breathing apparatus.

"At 04:55 crews confirmed that the electricity supply to the property had been isolated and that fire crews had removed the electrical intake box from the building."

Firefighters remained on the scene a while longer to ensure the fire had not spread further.
