Cornish Pirates join Penryn College students on world book day

As part of the celebrations for world book day by Penryn College last week, students were joined by the Cornish Pirates squad to talk about the importance of reading.

Back in September 2022 both the College and the Pirates announced a partnership that would see students take part in detailed training sessions from the squad as well as player-student mentoring sessions, which focus on the importance of school.

The agreement also sees the Pirates make use of the school's state-of-the-art synthetic turf pitch, where the first-team squad trains once a week.
