Confirmed Coronation events across Falmouth and Penryn

With just over two weeks to go until the Coronation of King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla Nub News is here to bring you some of the best-confirmed events and activities planned in your area.

The Coronation will take place on Saturday the 6th of May but there will be lots of celebrations over the whole weekend and across the whole country.

Cornwall Council has confirmed which locations will have official street parties which includes Falmouth:

  • St Anthony Way, Falmouth, Sunday, May 7, 11 am to 4 pm
  • Coventry Road, Flushing, Sunday, May 7, 10 am to 8 pm
  • Lansdowne Road, Falmouth, Monday, May 8, 10.30 am to 6 pm

There will be plenty of other celebrations taking place around Falmouth that have also been confirmed by the official Coronation website:

Coronation Big Lunch at The Seven Stars - (This event will now be rescheduled due to bad weather forecast)

The Seven Stars Pub in Falmouth will be hosting a Coronation Big Lunch and A cake fit for a King competition for a day full of celebration.

Coronation Concert at Perranwell Playing Field Monday 8th May

Perranarworthal Parish Council has organised an evening of live music with people encouraged to bring along picnic essentials.

Penryn Town Council has also now confirmed what events will be taking place for the coronation:

On Saturday the 6th of May on Exchequer Quay there will be a Royal waterside flotilla with various boats taking part. This will be followed by live music and lots more family fun.

On Sunday the 7th there will be a Coronation service held followed by a party in the park at the Trelawny Gardens.

The first two days of events planned

On Monday there will be a toast to the king and singing in the book of congratulations from the Mayor followed by a good old-fashioned Tea party.
