The Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to reports of a missing swimmer at Maenporth Beach this morning.

They were mobilised at around 8am, on scene, a small changing robe and child-size shoes with socks tucked in were found, having been reported by a member of the public.

A search of the beach and water was carried out with nothing found.

Investigations were carried out with people on the beach and builders working on the cafe who'd been there for some while previous.

"In agreement with the Coastguard Operations Centre at Falmouth the search was stood down with the belief that these items were likely left over from the previous day," the coastguard added.

If you've lost the items in the picture get in touch with the coastguard.
