Coastguard alerted to casualty near Flushing

Falmouth Coastguard Team was launched this evening following reports of a casualty near Flushing.

Just after 4pm today in Little Falmouth, a woman was found to have a broken hip and was attended to by an emergency crew.

A spokesperson for Falmouth Coastguard said:

"The team tasked to assist South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust with a casualty, Little Falmouth, Near Flushing.

"A lady was discovered with a suspected broken hip. Team members and Ambulance Paramedics transported the lady on a stretcher to a waiting Ambulance.

"Thanks to the team at Falmouth Boat Co for the help. We wish the lady a speedy recovery."
