Jayne Kirkham launches her campaign to be Truro and Falmouth's next Labour MP.

Cllr Kirkham has pledged that her campaign will be 'relentlessly positive' and has pointed to her track record of achievements such as:

  • Cornwall Council budget amendment putting £3.5million extra into children's mental health care.
  • Successfully proposing the Climate Change Emergency at Cornwall Council.
  • New policies pushing Cornwall Council to buy locally and benefit our economy.
  • Vaccination clinics in Falmouth.

Jayne commented:

"I work in this constituency, I live here, brought up my son here, and know firsthand the issues facing us. Having stood in the 2017 General Election and slashed the Tory majority from 14,000 to just 3,792, I know I can win next time and be an effective Member of Parliament delivering real change for Truro and Falmouth."

She added:

"I am working with Luke Pollard MP and community groups on the Housing Crisis, with environmental campaigners to bring a green economy and better jobs to Cornwall, and with people experienced in Health and Social Care to bring real change to our hard-pressed healthcare services.

"Together we can make a real difference and as the MP here I would make sure that our concerns and demands are listened to at the heart of government."
