Over 300 entrants to Young Art Cornwall flooded in this year including some superb pieces from Falmouth School students.

The creative competition which celebrates artistic talent is open to young people in Cornwall whilst also raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Art teacher Rowena Tarplee, who attended the presentation, said:

"I'm incredibly proud of our students who shone at the awards ceremony. It is a testament to their talent and creativity that they did so fantastically."

Two members of Falmouth School are Prize Winners and two students have been highly commended in their age categories.

Falmouth School's prize winners were Liam and Evelyn, while Florence and Emily were Highly Commended. Students will have their work exhibited in "The Courtyard" at the Falmouth Campus, Woodlane and will attend the private award presentation.

The exhibition will also be open to the public from Thursday 12 December - Sunday 15 December from 10am - 4pm.
